Tour duration: 4-5 hours driving as a passenger (depends on traffic jams, weather etc.)
Trip will start from the central post office. Then we will drive through the streets of the old colonial district to have our first meal: crab soup. Then we’ll ride to District 3, where various government organizations have their offices, including building of the Communist Party. We’ll continue riding through the main streets and narrow alleys of the city, where only one scooter at a time fits through. It will be – literally and figuratively –an opportunity to explore Saigon “from the inside”. Along the way, we’ll stop to have a bowl of one of the most famous dishes in Vietnam: Pho noodle soup, served at a local foodshop. Continuing our trip, we will return to District 1. Then we will ride through the tunnel under the Saigon River (one of the most expensive tunnels in the world) to District 2. We will enjoy the wonderful view of skyscrapers in the city center. In the meantime, we will have a break to grab a cup of sugarcane juice (or a smoothie). Then we’ll ride through the Saigon Bridge to Binh Thanh District, where we will enjoy our third meal – Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancakes). In Binh Thanh District will see the remnants of the old port, grab a cup of take-away coffee and we will discover another “face of Saigon”. We will ride to District 4 to try another local snack: pieces of rice paper mixed with quail eggs and veggies. After that, we’ll go through the narrow and crowded alleys of the harbour district, as well as main roads back to District 1, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel.
